These testimonies show that it is always a good idea to fight against bullying:

• SAM, 15 years old: I was in my Physical Education class, and some girls were bullying me. They were calling me names when the head teacher walked in and heard them. She ordered the girls to go to her office. While they were walking, they were playing the victim. The head teacher told them to stop and sanctioned them. Those girls never laughed at me again.

• OLIVER, 13 years old: Me and my friend were playing cards when two boys entered the classroom and took our cards. They were throwing them into the air and calling us “nerds” when I stood up for us and told them to get out.  

• MARY, 12 years old: When I saw my friend Jane, she was sitting alone and crying. I wanted to help her, so I went and asked her what the problem was. She said that some mean girls were spreading false rumours about her. So, we decided to take action and talk to the teachers to stop them.
